Knock Box

A knock box is where the spent puck goes. Without one it ends up in a bin under the counter, or in a cup, or on the ground behind you. There is not much counter to spare on a cart, so this gets decided before the panels are cut rather than after.

This is an add-on to a RidgeCraft build, not a countertop accessory you set down and move around. The cutout is part of the build, so it is specified with the order.

Where it goes on the cart

The cutout is located on the left side, below the pitcher rinser. If a knock box is added to a Pack Flat cart, the pitcher rinser sits above the knock box. That is the standard layout from the operator's point of view, and it puts the rinse and the knock in the same reach.

What it pairs with

The knock box assumes a pitcher rinser is on the build, since the cutout is positioned relative to it. Rinser options, and the note about which ones carry an NSF rating, are on the plumbing page. The Pack Flat bundle ships with a pitcher rinser as standard.

How it ships

Ordered with a build, the knock box is cut in at the shop and travels with it. Freight on an assembled build is quoted by region: roughly $450–$650 on the West Coast, $550–$750 through the Midwest and Texas, $650–$900 on the East Coast. The flat pack itself goes out by UPS or FedEx instead. We ship direct across the US. Canada is freight you book yourself, which customs makes the cleaner way to do it.
