You submit a form.

Which form depends on which tier. The Signature catalog has an inquiry form on each build page (size, finish, contact). The DIY page is a direct order. Semi-Custom prices the build live on the page, then routes you to request it. Custom Elite uses the order form too: tell us about your project, and we send you a link to book your design consult with Sam.

Every submission goes to our team. None of them sit in a queue. None of them get auto-replied to with a "we'll be in touch" message and forgotten. Every one is read within one business day.

Our team responds.

We reach out to confirm details and answer questions before your estimate gets built. Custom Elite always involves a call. Sam runs that one, and it is a paid 45-minute design consult at $49, credited to your order if you move forward.

Health-permitted builds follow a different path. You gather your county's requirements first, then we review everything together on a 30-minute permitting consult and confirm what we can build for you.

iii.

You approve the estimate.

The estimate goes out through QuickBooks. Base pricing covers the structure, white paint for the base panels, a standard countertop stain, labor and materials. Sink and equipment cutouts come from a set of pre-determined layouts. On a bar, that means the ice well sits left, right, or centered. On a signature build the layout is fixed — one option, exactly as shown. Anything outside those is a custom cutout, at $75 each. Finishing upgrades and add-ons are priced separately and listed before you commit. If a number looks different from what you expected, ask.

Nothing happens in our shop until you approve this. No wood gets cut, no slot gets reserved, no agreement gets sent. The estimate is the gate.

iv.

You sign the agreement.

After estimate approval, we send a Project Agreement. It mirrors the estimate. Read it carefully, because it is what we both refer to if a question comes up later.

The agreement also names the change-order policy: $50 flat plus any additional material and labor costs for a spec change after this point. Confirm your specs before you sign. That is the best way to avoid delays and extra cost.

You pay the deposit.

45% of the total, due after the Project Agreement is signed. It is non-refundable. We do not offer refunds.

Once your deposit is received, your slot is locked and production gets underway.

vi.

We build.

Sam and the team get to work. You will hear from us when the build enters active production, and we invoice the 35% progress payment at that point.

We keep you updated as your build moves through production. If you want a photo of it on the floor, ask.

vii.

Pickup or shipping.

Final 20% is due at pickup or before shipping. Pickup at 22445 E La Palma, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Or we custom crate your build and ship it freight.

After that, we do not offer a warranty. Once a build leaves the shop we have no say in how it gets used or how it gets transported, and we will not promise against damage we cannot see. What we will do is this: if something has a major defect, or a piece of hardware fails, tell us and we will fix it.

The structure

Why we split it three ways.

Three milestones, not one invoice. The 45% deposit is due after your Project Agreement is signed, and it locks your production slot. The 35% progress payment is due when your build enters active production. The final 20% is due at pickup or before shipping, so the smallest piece of the money moves last, once the cart is already built.

Honest answers

The conversations most shops avoid.

Things customers eventually ask. We would rather answer them on this page than on a phone call when something has already gone wrong.

"Can I change the spec after I order?"

Changes after an order is placed require a Change Order. There is a $50 flat fee plus any additional material and labor costs, and we give you that number before anything changes. Changes during active production may not always be possible.

"What if I cancel after the deposit?"

The deposit is non-refundable, and we say so before you pay it. We do not offer refunds.

"What if something is wrong with the build?"

Tell us. We do not offer a warranty. Once a build leaves the shop we have no say in how it gets used or how it gets transported, and we will not promise against damage we cannot see. What we will do is this: if something has a major defect, or a piece of hardware fails, tell us and we will fix it.

"Can I pay over time?"

The 45/35/20 split is how payment works. We do not offer payment plans beyond it.

Health permitting

If you are
serving food.

The build itself does not include the permit. RidgeCraft is a woodworking and fabrication business. We are not permitting consultants, health code specialists, or regulatory advisors. Our role is to build your equipment to your specifications.

We can support your process in these limited ways:

i. Provide build schematics and plumbing diagrams upon request ($300 flat fee)
ii. Accommodate specific construction requirements documented by your health department
iii. Modify designs to meet stated requirements, provided they are submitted in writing before your order is placed

What we do not do: contact your health department, research the codes for your jurisdiction, determine whether a configuration will be approved, submit anything to a regulatory agency on your behalf, or follow up on your approval status. Every county is different, and your local environmental health office is the source of truth, not us.
